 Dearness Pay

(Not to be confused with DA)

DA is converted as DP 

Ex. An officer received 64% DA in April

The Government decided that 50%  DA be converted as DP

Here, The officer gets 150% Pay and 14% DA. The 50% so merged is termed as DP.

In all Salary Certificates and Documents relating to Salary , the Dearness Pay should be specifically mentioned.
