Officiating

 Officiating

a) Employed in a post in the place of an officer in his absence

b) In an open vacancy/vacant position,

Example :

A , a selection grade headmaster goes on leave for 3 years, and B a senior High school assistant is promoted to his position. A has a lien in his post and B is said to be officiating.

If A retires on March 31 , the vacancy is said to be open and a Selection Grade Assistant is promoted to the post, the latter being officiated.
